The proposed model is a 1987 Alpine GTA V6 Turbo delivered in a bright red color of the most beautiful effect. The bodywork and the interior have been rigorously preserved. All the parts that had to be changed were replaced by original Renault parts. A complete history is attached to the car and the oil change was performed at 180750km on September 18th.
Produced in very few examples, it is now extremely rare to find Alpine GTA V6 Turbo in such a good state of preservation. The model benefits from a rising price, making it a unique piece to collect without further delay.
Since the Alpine A310, the Dieppoise brand has always had the ambition to compete head-on with Porsche in the GT sports car sector.
In 1985, the much awaited Alpine GTA V6, descendant of the A310, was supposed to become the reference GT sports car. Renault's choice to market the naturally-aspirated Alpine GTA V6 one year before its turbo version resulted in disappointment for the brand's fans and made it a commercial failure. The reason for this was a muffled sound and performance that fell short of the standards set by Porsche.
The Alpine GTA V6 Turbo appeared late in 1986, in a rather unfavorable context. Aesthetically, the Turbo version is extremely similar to the GTA V6. Only the spoiler, the smoked rear lights and the "V6 Turbo" claws distinguish it from the naturally aspirated version.
On the other hand, the difference in performance is significant. Its fiberglass composite body parts allow it to have a light weight of 1210kg when empty. Its aerodynamic design gives it a cx of 0.30. Coupled with the famous 2.5-liter V6 PRV supercharged by a Garret T3 turbo blowing at 0.65 bar, the GTA V6 Turbo, with its 200hp (far from the power displayed by the Porsches of the time) goes from 0 to 100 in 7''3 and reaches 250km/h without flinching.
