Audi RS2 1994 - 211 500 KM

At the beginning of the 1990s, Audi was piling up trophies, mainly in rallying with its Audi Quattro equipped with all-wheel drive, which enabled it to outperform its competitors. In search of image and legitimacy, the Ingolstadt brand had the firm intention of imposing itself on the sports sedan sector.

To do this, Audi engineers made the bold choice to design the world's first high-performance station wagon on the basis of an S2 wagon. This is how the Audi RS2 became the first model of the great Rennsport lineage.

The charm and uniqueness of the RS2 lies in the fact that it was built in conjunction with Porsche, which contributed its expertise in the design of sports models from the beginning to the end of the project. The S2s from the Salzgitter factory were delivered without bumpers to the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen, where they received aesthetic, chassis and mechanical improvements.

They benefited from Porsche bumpers, 17-inch Porsche wheels, a Bilstein damping system, 300mm ventilated brake discs and 4-piston calipers from the Porsche 968 Club Sport. But it's the 2.2-liter 5-cylinder engine that has been most extensively revised by Porsche. Among them are the camshafts, the ECU, the turbo, the intercooler and the catalytic converters, increasing its initial power from 230 to 315 horsepower.

The proposed model is a 1994 Audi RS2 in perfect condition delivered in its mythical Nogaro Blue color. It has a sunroof as well as carbon panels on the door trims and on the dashboard. The car is entirely original and its speedometer graduated up to 300km/h displays 211500 kilometers. A full service history is available and the car has recently been serviced with a new timing belt.
