The RZ, which is destined to restore the Biscione's reputation, is the very embodiment of the Milanese manufacturer's DNA, with the latest evolution of the noble and powerful V6 Busso Alfa. For the occasion, the block is pushed to 210 hp and expresses its vocals beyond 6,000 rpm, for the greatest acoustic pleasure of purists.
On the chassis side, the engineers were inspired by the 75 Turbo Evoluzione of the Group A by equipping it with ball-jointed suspensions, anti-roll bars and a clutch/gearbox/transaxle assembly positioned at the rear. The weight distribution is almost perfect. The handling is exemplary. To take the sportiness to the next level, the Italians added a hydraulic system to lower the ground clearance by 40 mm via a pump from the passenger compartment. The resulting ground effect is formidable and promises remarkable cornering.
You only have to look at its silhouette to understand why it is called "Il Mostro". It is an artistic masterpiece created jointly by the Fiat styling center and the masterful penmanship of the famous coachbuilder Zagato.
