Our Aston Martin DB9 Volante was delivered new in 2009 in the Netherlands. She has had 3 owners, the last in 2018. It was imported into France in 2014.
This model is in very good overall condition. In Onyx Black, combined with a black soft top, grey wheels and cream and black leather interior, it is presented in flawless condition.
Mechanically, our Aston Martin DB9 Volante is in perfect condition. Its 5.9-liter V12 engine developing 476 hp, combined with the automatic gearbox, offers lyrical flights of fancy as on the first day. The Aston Martin DB9 was unveiled at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. Its Volante, or convertible, version was unveiled the following year. A descendant of the DB7, the DB9 retains its majestic V12 engine.
Designed by Ian Callum and Henry Fisker, the DB9 was the first Aston Martin to be built in the Warwickshire region of England. Its name may come as a surprise, not following that of the previous DB7 as one might have expected. The letters "DB" are the initials of David Brown, former owner of the brand, and the number 9 is chosen to avoid confusion. As the DB9 is equipped with a V12, an 8 could have given the wrong impression of a V8.
The V12 is still there. When first introduced, this V12 developed 450 hp, until 2008. A second phase will bring aesthetic changes, notably the center console, and an increase in engine power to 470 hp.
The interior is worthy of Aston Martin, with leather and burr walnut throughout. The on-board instrumentation features the latest technology and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. The DB9's best soundtrack, however, is its V12 engine, which is even more expressive in the Volante version. The lyrical flights of Aston Martin's V12 are as impressive as ever, and never tire.
