The Aston Martin V12 Vantage was unveiled in 2007 as a concept based on the V8 Vantage, with an AM11 V12 engine derived from the DBS. Producing 510 hp and 570 Nm of torque, it reached 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 306 km/h. In 2009, the production model, simply called the V12 Vantage, was launched, incorporating carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser and a retractable spoiler.
In 2013, Aston Martin introduced the V12 Vantage S, a sportier version with a revised V12 engine delivering 573 hp and 620 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches 330 km/h, becoming the fastest production Aston Martin of its time. The model benefits from a new 7-speed automatic transmission, adaptive suspension and carbon aerodynamic modifications.
A cabriolet version, the V12 Vantage Roadster, was unveiled in 2013 with production limited to 101 units. In 2016, Aston Martin launched a 7-speed manual version of the V12 Vantage S, marking an unusual return to the manual gearbox. A total of 351 manual examples were produced, including 100 for the US market.
