Singularity of the car

The proposed model is a 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage phase 2. Equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 engine, coupled with a robotized gearbox offering greatly improved shift times compared to the phase 1. In addition to the 40 horsepower recovered from the engine update, this phase 2 benefits from a refined, soft, melodious and bewitching sound.

Delivered in a magnificent deep black metallic color that perfectly matches its sculptural shape, it is equipped with beautiful 5-spoke wheels. Exclusively tracked at Aston Martin since its introduction, the model has 93,000 kilometers on the clock.

The car is in perfect mechanical condition, inside and out.

Historical summary of the model

The two-seat V8 coupe first appeared at the Detroit Auto Show in 2003 as a prototype called the AMV8 Vantage, and was finally unveiled in its final form at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show. Initiated by former Aston Martin design boss Hernirk Fisker, the project behind this compact coupe was to embody elegance and sportiness.

Slightly more expensive than a 997 (its direct competitor), the V8 Vantage stood out thanks to a sumptuous and much more original design, while displaying an impeccable quality of conception.

Based on the VH (vertical horizontal) platform introduced by the DB9, the V8 Vantage is more on the side of compact sports cars, with a length of 4.38 meters. Its size is certainly contained, but this is not the case for its engine cover, which has probably already been designed to accommodate the future V12 engine from the DBS.

Initially, the coupe was equipped with a Jaguar 4.3-liter V8 of 380 horsepower, benefiting from numerous improvements such as the appearance of a dry sump. Located in the front center and very low in the chassis, it is coupled to a manual or robotized gearbox, located on the rear axle in order to optimize the weight distribution.

Sold in more than 10,000 units by 2008, the V8 received a major update the same year, particularly in terms of the engine. The V8 engine was upgraded to 4.7 liters, producing 420 horsepower and more torque, while being available over a wider rpm range. In addition, the coupe has a firmer chassis thanks to Bilstein shock absorbers and its interior has been slightly modified.
