The model offered is a 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster delivered in a beautiful white metallic color in perfect harmony with its burgundy interior and soft top. It is also equipped with black 19-inch wheels that give it an extra sporty touch.
The roadster also benefits from numerous options such as the semi-automatic "Sportshift" gearbox allowing gear changes in 0.2 seconds, LED and Xenon lights, reversing radars, folding mirrors, as well as electric and heated leather seats ensuring a first class comfort and habitability.
Exclusively followed at Aston Martin until its last but one service, the car has a stamped booklet and numerous invoices attesting to the care given to its maintenance. The last service was done less than a year ago, its 4 tires are in very good condition and its brake pads are new.
The car has 85,000 kilometers on it, is in excellent mechanical health and is in impeccable cosmetic condition.
The two-seat V8 coupe first appeared at the Detroit Auto Show in 2003 as a prototype called the AMV8 Vantage, and will be released in its final form at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show. Initiated by former Aston Martin design boss Hernirk Fisker, the project behind this compact model was to embody elegance and sportiness while taking on the 911, queen of the sporty GT segment.
The V8 Vantage stands out for its captivating design, long hood and curved hips, as well as its impeccable level of finish and assembly. A convertible version was introduced at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, allowing occupants to enjoy the throaty, throaty sound of the V8. Equipped with a simple canvas top that folds down in 18 seconds to 15 km/h, the cabriolet does not detract from the coupe's sculptural lines.
Also equipped with a 385-horsepower, 4.3-liter V8 dry sump engine, coupled with a choice of manual or automated transmission, the convertible offers performance equivalent to that of the coupe, despite a weight increase of 140 kg. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds (5.4 seconds for the coupe) and its top speed remains unchanged at 280 km/h.
Based on the DB9's VH (Vertical Horizontal) platform of lightweight, high-strength aluminum, the V8 Vantage Roadster is remarkably rigid for a convertible, reducing distortion to zero while delivering a healthy ride and excellent handling. So while the Vantage Roadster is extremely comfortable and docile, it's lively, efficient and engaging in sporty exercise.
