Singularity of the car

  •   MC Stradale V8
  •   Custom X-pipe
  •   Very good condition
  •   Complete history

Launched in 2012, the Sport version of the Maserati GranCabrio is an evolution of the model released in 2010. This new version features a number of aesthetic and technical modifications, including the bumpers and the power of the V8. It now delivers an extra 10 hp and 20 Nm, enabling it to accelerate by a tenth of a second from 0 to 100 km/h and reach 285 km/h, while reducing fuel consumption by 6%.

Launched on April 11, 2012, this Maserati GranCabrio Sport originates from Germany. It passed through the hands of a single owner during its time in Germany, until it was imported into France in 2020. Its current owner, for the past 3 years, is only the second. This example is configured in Nero Carbonio black and is in very good overall condition. The bodywork is generally in good condition, apart from a few minor defects resulting from use. There are a few scratches on the rear-view mirrors, a few gravel impacts on the rocker panel, a slight dent on the left rear fender, a slight haze on the varnish on the left side and small marks on the left rear rim. These defects are minor and hardly noticeable in the overall presentation of the car. Apart from these, the bodywork and paintwork are in good condition.

Inside, the leather seats, dashboard and steering wheel are covered in black leather and are in good condition. There is a slight defect in the leather on the passenger door panel. The on-board instrumentation and multimedia systems are faultless and function normally.

This Maserati GranCabrio Sport benefits from the sound of the MC Stradale's V8. With a displacement of 4.7 liters, it produces 450 hp and 510 Nm of torque, all combined with the comfort of a 6-speed ZF gearbox. The result is driving comfort and sportiness, always accompanied by the raging sound of the V8, even more audible in convertible mode. The engine on this model starts up at the drop of a hat and operates normally. No abnormal noises. This Maserati has 93,500 kilometers on the clock. It was serviced by a Maserati dealership until it was imported into France, where it was serviced by specialist Arnaud Sport. Its original stamped logbook is available, as are numerous invoices since its arrival in France. The car was last serviced in November 2022. The consumables are in good condition and require no change. The front bumper was replaced in 2021 following a minor collision, with a supporting invoice.

Historical summary of the model

The Maserati GranCabrio Sport, launched in 2012, is a significant evolution of the GranCabrio model introduced by Maserati in 2010. It stands out as a more powerful and refined version of the original luxury cabriolet, representing a marriage between Italian elegance and sporty performance.

Under the hood, the GranCabrio Sport is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine, designed in collaboration with Ferrari. This engine produces 450 hp (336 kW) at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque of 510 Nm at 4,750 rpm. Compared with the standard version of the GranCabrio, the Sport benefits from a 10-horsepower increase. The engine is mated to a six-speed ZF automatic transmission with selectable driving modes, offering a balance between driving comfort and sporty response. In terms of performance, the GranCabrio Sport reaches a top speed of 285 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 5.2 seconds. These figures are slightly higher than those of the standard GranCabrio, thanks to the combination of a more powerful engine and optimized chassis settings.

Maserati's Skyhook suspension, which equips the GranCabrio Sport, is electronically adjustable and has been calibrated to offer a better compromise between comfort and sporty handling. In addition, the braking system has been upgraded with larger brake discs and six-piston calipers at the front, ensuring improved braking performance. Aesthetically, the GranCabrio Sport boasts a number of distinctive features. It features a redesigned front end with a new grille and wider air intakes for improved engine cooling. The 20-inch light-alloy wheels, exclusive to this model, also contribute to its distinctive appearance. Inside, the car is trimmed with high-quality materials, such as Poltrona Frau leather, and offers a complete infotainment system with navigation and connectivity.

On the technical side, the GranCabrio Sport uses a Maserati Stability Program (MSP) stability control system that integrates several safety and performance functions, such as traction control and stability control. It also features Sport Traction Control for a more dynamic driving experience.

The 2012 Maserati GranCabrio Sport represents a significant advance in performance and style over its predecessor. It combines cutting-edge engineering with the elegant design characteristic of the Maserati brand, offering a driving experience that is both luxurious and exciting.
