The Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG Cabriolet, launched in 2016, is the high-performance version of the C-Class W205, produced between 2014 and 2021. Based on the new MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) platform, this generation is lighter and stiffer than its predecessors, with a weight reduction of 100 kg thanks to the intensive use of aluminum.
The C63 S AMG Cabriolet is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, similar to that of the Mercedes-AMG GT, developing 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque. This engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h, with the electronic speed limiter lifted on request. The 7-speed automatic transmission sends power exclusively to the rear wheels, and AMG-specific suspension and high-performance brakes with carbon-ceramic discs ensure impressive roadholding.
The refined, sporty interior has been updated in 2018 with technologies such as adaptive LED lights, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and semi-autonomous driving aids. This model embodies the perfect combination of luxury and performance, while maintaining the sporty roots of AMG vehicles.
