Our Porsche 356 B-T5 Super 90 Cabriolet was launched on July 1, 1960. It has 17,000 KM on the odometer (5-digit counter) and changed ownership in 2023. It was recently registered in France from Monaco.
This model is distinguished by its Silbermetall paintwork, combined with a refined black and red leather interior. The complete restoration carried out on this vehicle, both on the body and the interior, is of exceptional quality. There are no faults to report on the body, interior or operation of the on-board instrumentation.
Mechanically, this 356 is equipped with the Super 90 engine, offering 90 hp, the largest engine available for 356s. Combined with a 4-speed mechanical gearbox, it provides an authentic and engaging driving experience. This car has been restored with the utmost care, as evidenced by its condition, including the engine, gearbox and axle, as well as the replacement of the engine hood with that of a BT6.
Maintenance was carried out by brand specialists, with a complete overhaul scheduled for the sale, guaranteeing optimal operation. An appraisal was carried out on October 5, 2022, and the report is available. Consumables are in very good condition, and there is no charge for replacement.
The Porsche 356, the brand's first production car, was built between 1948 and 1965. Designed by Ferdinand "Ferry" Porsche, it was initially produced in Austria before production moved to Germany. The 356 is characterized by its rear engine, lightness and handling, all of which contributed to its success in motorsport.
Among the variants, the Porsche 356 B T5 Super 90 Roadster, introduced in 1959, stands out for its 1.6-liter, 90 hp engine, offering improved performance over previous models. Roadsters, with their open bodywork and reduced weight, were particularly popular in the USA, thanks in large part to importer Max Hoffman.
