Our Porsche 911 Type 993 Carrera Cabriolet was delivered new to Germany in January 1994. It subsequently had several owners in Italy from 1997 to 2023. It was imported into France for its current owner in early 2023. The car is in excellent overall condition. The Oceanblau color blends perfectly with the midnight-blue leather interior and blue soft top. The leather seats have a slight natural patina. Our model is fitted with a mosquito net and soft-top cover.
Our Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet works perfectly. The 272 hp 3.6 L flat 6, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, still sounds and feels amazing. It has benefited from regular servicing at Porsche Centers and by specialists. The last service was carried out in April 2023. Tires, front brakes, soft top and radio are all new.

In 1993, when the Porsche 911 Type 964 was only 5 years old, the next generation of the German marque appeared. Presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Porsche 911 Type 993 bears a strong resemblance to its predecessor, but features 100% new bodywork and numerous improvements. Its release date and name are completely unrelated, a mere coincidence of the calendar.
The 993 takes its engine from the 964. The 3.6-liter, 6-cylinder engine is now rated at 272 hp, and the gearbox gains a 6th gear for improved top speed and fuel economy. This generation is the last to retain air-cooling, which was replaced by water-cooling on the 996 to comply with pollution standards.
The cabriolet version was introduced in 1994 to complete the range. A few months later, this version was accompanied by the introduction of the 4-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. Aesthetically, the 993 features more rounded lines, notably on the fenders and bumpers. The headlamps are less angled and better integrated into the bodywork. Visual breaks in the design have been eliminated, creating a sleeker, more modern appearance.
The Porsche 911 Type 993 got off to a complex start. However, as a 911 with a top-quality finish and air cooling, it gained in popularity over the years and is now one of the most sought-after generations.
