Singularity of the car

  • Rare Porsche Exclusive configuration
  • Condition as new
  • Full service history

Our Porsche 911 Type 996 Turbo was delivered new to Belgium and put on the road on August 22, 2000. It has had two owners in Belgium, a third in Romania and three more in France. It was imported into France in 2010.

This example is presented in a condition comparable to new. In an Arktissilber Met color, combined with gray Turbo wheels, red brake calipers and Porsche Exclusif green leather interior, this 996 Turbo is flawless and uniquely configured.

The mechanical condition of this model is beyond reproach. The 420 hp 3.6 L twin-turbo flat 6, combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox, works like new. All servicing was carried out at Porsche Centers in Belgium and Romania, and by specialists in France. The stamped service book and a file of invoices are available. The last service was carried out in February 2023, and only 3,000 kilometers have been covered since then. Note the addition of a TechArt exhaust silencer.

Historical summary of the model

The Porsche 911 Type 996 Turbo is presented at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show. The successor to the 993 Turbo, the 996 Turbo belongs to a generation shunned by purists. The reason: the water-cooling system now installed on 911 models.

Launched in parallel with the new Boxster model, the 996 uses the latter's headlight design. A mistake that won't be repeated for the Turbo, which features a new front end, a new flat 6 and new handling.

The Porsche 996 Turbo is equipped with a 3.6-liter turbocharged Flat 6, developing 420 hp and an impressive 560 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h is reached in 4.2 seconds with a muffled roar, slightly muted compared to the 993 Turbo.

The design is not lacking in changes. The 996 Turbo's unobtrusiveness almost makes you forget its incredible engine, while the interior makes no compromises on luxury. Full leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats and a three-spoke steering wheel are all fitted as standard.

Despite the purists' disagreement, the 996 Turbo is true to its name. The brutality of acceleration, the muffled rumble and overpowering acceleration don't betray its origins. On the other hand, its range is more than limited. This is due to a 64-liter fuel tank and the greed of the Flat 6.
