Launched in 2004, the 997 generation 911 marks a return to more traditional styling elements. These elements counterbalance the changes made to the 996 generation to compensate for mixed reactions. The 997 was updated in 2008 with numerous improvements. It features a 385 hp flat 6 with direct fuel injection, as well as the new PDK automatic gearbox.
This Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé was launched on April 14, 2011. Originally from Belgium, it has passed through the hands of just 2 owners. Its second owner acquired it in 2016 and imported it to France at the same time. The car is in good overall condition. Its bodywork, in a black color, has a few slight defects: a scratch and a paint chip are present on the rear bumper, a halo appears in the varnish on the right rear fender, a slight rub is visible under the front blade and an impact is apparent on the covering of the left rear-view mirror. Apart from these minor wear and tear, the bodywork is in good condition. The paintwork is bright and deep. Inside, all components are in excellent condition. The black seats, steering wheel and dashboard show no signs of wear. The on-board instrumentation functions normally, and there are no charges to be expected.
Mechanically, this model features a 385-hp flat-six coupled to a PDK automatic gearbox in perfect working order. Start-ups are smooth, and there's no abnormal noise during use. The PDK gearbox offers fast, seamless gear changes. It is serviced exclusively by the Porsche network in Belgium, and by sports car specialists in France. It has a full service book and all its invoices since its arrival in France. The last service was carried out in the summer of 2023. The tires have covered 2000 KM since their last change.

The Porsche 911, with its Type 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé model, is an important incarnation in the evolutionary history of one of the world's most iconic sports car lines.
The Porsche 911, first introduced in 1963, has evolved through several generations, retaining its distinctive character while incorporating technological advances and performance enhancements. The 997 generation, launched in 2004, marked a return to some of the 911's more traditional styling elements, particularly after mixed reactions to certain aspects of the previous generation, the 996. The 997 underwent a major update in 2008, resulting in the '997.2' version. The Carrera 4S Coupé model, in this update, was launched with several significant improvements over its predecessor.
The 997.2 Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.8-liter, 6-cylinder boxer engine, producing around 385 hp. Unlike the previous generation, this engine uses direct fuel injection, a first for the 911, offering improved fuel efficiency and performance. This generation introduced the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch transmission, replacing the previous Tiptronic gearbox. A six-speed manual transmission was also available.
With all-wheel drive, the 4S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.7 seconds. Top speed is around 297 km/h. The 997.2 has received a refined chassis and improved suspension for better handling. It is also equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The exterior features subtle changes from the 997.1, including redesigned headlamps, larger air intakes and LED taillights. Inside, the 997.2 offers a slightly reworked cabin with improved materials and a new entertainment and navigation system.
The 997.2 Carrera 4S has been well received by critics and Porsche enthusiasts alike, offering a balanced blend of performance, classic styling and modern technology. It is often considered one of the most desirable 911 models of its generation, thanks to its balance between tradition and innovation.
The Porsche 911 Type 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé represents a key chapter in the evolution of the 911. With its advances in performance, technology and design, while retaining the 911's iconic aesthetics, this car continues to embody the spirit of the Porsche brand and its racing heritage.
