Our Porsche Cayman GT4, put on the road on May 9, 2016, was delivered new in Germany to its first owner, a Frenchman living in Sweden. The latter returned to France in 2023 and had his GT4 taken back by the Centre Porsche Saint Etienne, which sold it to its second owner. The car has thus had only two owners.
In Rhodium Silver Metallic, our Cayman GT4 is in perfect condition. The bodywork and paintwork are flawless. Inside, we find magnificent customized bucket seats. Perfectly in keeping with the overall configuration, they give this GT4 a touch of retro. The original black Race Tex seats have of course been retained and will be supplied with the car. It goes without saying that all interior trim is in excellent condition.
With just 39,700 kilometers on the clock, our Cayman GT4 performs as it should for such a low-mileage car. The 3.8-liter Flat 6 borrowed from the 911 (Type 991) Carrera S is in perfect health, and the 385 hp are all there. The 6-speed manual gearbox offers additional driving pleasure and accentuates the very sporty character of this version.
Maintained in the Porsche network and by Porsche specialists in Sweden, this example has its own notebooks and manuals. Numerous invoices provide a complete history. The car was last serviced in January 2023. New rear tires will be fitted prior to delivery.

Launched in February 2015 at the New York Motor Show, the Porsche Cayman GT4 (type 981) marks a significant step in the evolution of the range, infusing it with a resolutely sporting dimension in the tradition of the 911 GT3.
Since the introduction of the Cayman in 2005, the range has positioned itself as an alternative to the legendary 911s, differentiating itself through its mid-engined architecture. But it wasn't until the release of the GT4 version in 2015 that the Cayman clearly asserted its sporting identity, with specifications worthy of a track car while retaining good on-road abilities.
The heart of the GT4 is the famous 3.8-liter flat-six cylinder borrowed from the 911 Carrera S (Type 991). Delivering 385 hp at 7,400 rpm and 420 Nm of torque between 4,750 and 6,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the GT4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is 295 km/h.
The GT4's chassis has been optimized to deliver the dynamic behavior and driving precision expected for track use. It benefits from elements borrowed from the 911 GT3, notably the front suspension and brakes. Ground clearance is 30 mm lower than that of the standard Cayman, with a correspondingly lower center of gravity.
The specific fixed rear spoiler, diffuser and optimized air intakes play an essential role in improving aerodynamic downforce.
The result of all this work was a car with a particularly sporty temperament, well-suited to mixed road/track use.
At the time, Porsche's decision to equip the GT4 with a manual gearbox rather than the PDK available across the range raised a number of questions. The answer was that communication between man and machine is more intense and satisfying with a manual gearbox.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 981 is a milestone in the history of both the Cayman range and Porsche itself. For a contained price, it offers the philosophy of the ultimate versions marketed by the manufacturer. Thanks to its mid-mounted engine, it embodies a successful convergence between the worlds of road and track, offering a technical synthesis that both complements and differentiates the traditional 911.
