Launched on October 6, 1988, this Ferrari Testarossa is French by origin. It has passed through the hands of 5 owners to date, remaining in France throughout its life. Ownership changes took place in 2001, 2004 and 2008, followed by the current owner's purchase on October 21, 2009. The car is in generally good condition. Its Rosso Corsa bodywork is in good condition. It does, however, have a few slight flaws, not very visible but present nonetheless. Overall, the paintwork is good, offering brilliance and depth over most of the body. Inside, the interior features red and black leather seats and a black steering wheel in good condition, with few signs of use. The black dashboard is also in good condition, but shows some flaws in the sun-affected instrument panel. It can be restored to its original condition. The on-board instrumentation is in good working order.
Mechanically, this Ferrari Testarossa features a mid-rear V12 engine in excellent working order. Start-ups are smooth and there's no audible noise during operation. The doors are well aligned and the underpinnings are sound. The 5-speed manual gearbox operates smoothly, providing quick, precise shifts. With 79,000 kilometers on the odometer, this model is in good condition.
Serviced at a Ferrari Centre and then at several different garages, this Ferrari Testarossa has its full Ferrari-stamped service book, as well as a file of substantial invoices for work carried out. The last service was carried out in August 2022. Consumables are in good condition. This Ferrari benefited from the replacement of its timing gear 1 year ago.

As well as being aesthetically appealing, these slots had an essential function: to channel fresh air to the side-mounted radiators, eliminating the need for front-mounted radiators and allowing better weight distribution. The exterior design also reflects careful aerodynamics, offering a balance between performance and style.
The name "Testarossa", which means "red head" in Italian, refers to the engine's red-painted rocker covers. The engine, a 4.9-liter flat-12, produced 390 hp and was mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This block enabled the Testarossa to reach a top speed of 290 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds.
Production of the Testarossa began in 1984 and continued until 1991. Over the years, it underwent minor improvements and adjustments, but its iconic silhouette remained relatively unchanged. In 1991, Ferrari introduced the 512 TR, an evolution of the Testarossa, featuring mechanical improvements, an increase in power, and minor aesthetic adjustments. The 512 TR was itself replaced in 1994 by the F512 M, the latest iteration of the Testarossa series. It was distinguished by aesthetic modifications, including exposed headlamps instead of the original retractable ones.
The Testarossa has been widely recognized for its bold design and impressive performance. It also played a role in popular culture, appearing in several films, TV series and video games. Despite occasional criticism of its weight and size compared with other Ferrari models, the Testarossa was one of the brand's best-selling cars during its production.
