Singularity of the car

- Low mileage

- Complete maintenance booklet

- Well-optioned vehicle

Launched in June 2004, the Porsche 911 type 997, recognizable by its side gills, is the successor to the legendary 996 of the 2000s. It abandons its much-criticized almond-shaped headlamps and classic design in favor of a wider, more dynamic body, as well as the return of the round headlamps typical of the model. The new 911 underwent a major mechanical overhaul, with revised running gear, improved finish and new engines. In June 2006, the first Turbo versions appeared, with a 480 hp 3.6L engine featuring the manufacturer's first variable turbine turbochargers. In 2010, a final version, the Turbo S, developing a whopping 530 hp, coupled to the PDK dual-clutch gearbox, will be produced, bringing this 6th generation Porsche 911 to a close. In all, no fewer than 213,004 Type 997 911s will have been sold between 2004 and 2012.

Launched on July 3, 2006 in Germany, our 911 Type 997 Turbo arrived in France in 2017, where three owners successively acquired it (the last owner has owned it since November 29, 2022). The configuration offered on this 911 Turbo is classic: black exterior and black leather interior. The bodywork looks good, as does the interior. Our 911 is powered by a 3.6L engine developing 480 hp, transmitted to all four wheels via the PDK dual-clutch gearbox. Always serviced in a Porsche center or by a Porsche specialist, the engine is in perfect working order. Last serviced on November 16, 2023, at 29,121 km, the invoices justifying the maintenance and history of the vehicle are available.

Historical summary of the model

The Porsche 911 Type 997 Turbo embodies the perfect symbiosis of class and sportiness. With no fins or extreme appendages like the brand's RS variants, the 997 Turbo plays the simplicity card. Distinguishable by its wider body, specific bumpers and more pronounced side gills, in 2006 it became one of the most powerful Porsches in the carmaker's history.

From a technical point of view, the sixth-generation 911 Turbo is powered by a 3.6-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine, boosting output to 480 hp. Equipped with all-wheel drive, the 911 Type 997 Turbo benefits from the "Porsche Torque Vectoring" system, which, when cornering, brakes the inside wheel to accelerate the outside wheel, improving traction and stability in high-speed curves. First offered as a coupé in 2006, the 997 turbo will be available as a cabriolet a year later, from 2007. The ultimate "Turbo S" versions will be produced from 2011 to 2012. On these latter versions, power is increased to 530 hp, the engine is coupled as standard to the PDK dual-clutch gearbox, and associated with PCCB ceramic brakes (yellow calipers). In 2011, an ultra-exclusive version called "911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder" will be offered in a limited series of 918 units (interior and exterior trim, calipers, acid green logo, some carbon elements).

Today, the 911 Type 997 Turbo continues to grow in popularity, attracting more and more collectors, with more than 210,000 examples of all body styles rolled off the production lines. The 911 997 Turbo or Turbo S is the perfect compromise between classicism and sportiness.
